Vendor Spotlight!!! Meet Tekeah C. Scott aka Green Tea

Check out one of the featured guest scheduled to perform at our Women Meeting Challenges - Making Change Conference.  Green Tea began singing in the church.  As she matured, her love of music extended far beyond gospel.  Influenced by the culture and community of D.C., soul, jazz, rhythm and blues, opera, classical, and rock & roll were added to her repertoire.   Green Tea's love for music has continued to expand and develop throughout the years.

Green Tea's music focuses on the soul of the individual; the mind, will, and emotions, while her delivery sets the tone for growth, power, and love.  She speaks of experiences learned through life, which makes it VERY easy for audiences to relate to her musically.

Green Tea's debut album, Have a Cup of Green Tea Dosage I: Shades of Green, illustrate the power of music.  Depicted as the soundtrack for everyday life, Green Tea pours in her heart and soul and captures the hearts of people.   Check out a sample and Have a Cup of Green Tea!

Vendor Spotlight!!! Meet Lexy Dove

Check out one of our featured guest scheduled to perform at the Women Meeting Challenges - Making Change Conference.  Lexy Dove is a recovering addict. For over 30 years, Lexy has struggled with a life of drug addiction, crime, and prison.

Lexy takes you inside the mind of an addict and reveals the insanity of drug abuse.  In this piece, he shows you through individual characters the real behaviors of alcoholism, heroin, and crack/cocaine.

Lexy has seen first hand how drug and alcohol abuse plays a major role in Domestic Violence and Abuse, as well as major behavior issues.

Lexy has decided rather than allowing his circumstances to define him - he has devoted his life to educating and warning about the effects and consequences of drug addiction.

In his own words: "Wheather or not this tactic will work or not? We will see! All I know is that I'm going to do what I can do to help someone not make some of the same bad decisions I did.  And if I can save just one, then it was well worth it. Mission Accomplished!"

Check out a sample of Lexy's monologue: Straight From The Horses Mouth

Straight From The Horses Mouth

"I WAS BORN IN THE GHETTO, AND
 RAISED BY THE STREETS

WHERE THE STRONG SURVIVE -
AND PERISHED ARE THE WEAK

IN AND OUT OF JAIL BEFORE
MY LIFE HAD TRULY BEGUN

BACK THEN, MY BEST FRIEND,
WAS A BUCK AND A GUN!"
